This book was amazing! I ignored all life responsibilities to sit down on my couch and finish it because the suspense was too much. It's the first book I've read by this author and I will definitely be picking up her other novels. Highly recommend to any fans of psychological thrillers, whodunit, or just a good book!

The story kicks off with William Wooler, a husband and father of two, whose mistress has just ended their affair. Juicy right off the bat! A heartbroken William decides to go home and finds his nine-year-old daughter at home instead of being at school. Avery is a difficult child and after a heated exchange between the two, William storms out of the house. Hours later, Avery is declared missing. William is the last person to see Avery at home, but when the police question him he decides keeps that piece of information to himself. Did William hurt his daughter? Where is Avery? The answer is not as obvious as you might think. The Wooler's live in a family friendly and safe neighborhood, but after Avery's disappearance it seems like everyone there has something to hide.

In the About section of the author's website it says that: "She doesn’t want you to be able to put her books down." Well, she's done just that! I truly enjoyed the author's writing style. The story is told from the omniscient POV, which I loved. It was great to see what each character was thinking and feeling throughout the novel. It was a big cast, but the way the author told the story made it easy to read and remember who was who. She connected it all perfectly. I loved all the twists and turns, and it had me guessing the entire time! It was fast paced and that ending? Oh my goodness! If you want a good suspense/thriller, please go read this book, come back and let me know what you think!

Until the next one!
